New Old Camera

So I got this new camera for Christmas. I am so happy about it! It is a Canon Canonet 28 Rangefinder.
Supposedly the man at the camera shop said it is the poor man's Leica and I really like the ring of that. I only got about 10 or so pictures that I like out of 2 rolls of 27 exposures, but I figure that is not so bad. The images look so sharp and rich compared to my digital and the little disposables I have been using. It is like baking a cake with real butter instead of margarine. Yum.

I am starting a flickr set for these new photos over here. Hopefully I will have more to add to it soon. If you want to see them larger just click "all sizes" at the top of the photo on its page in flickr. You can really see the difference when you do that!

Happy picture taking!

Hi Paul. Thanks! Ya - I guess this is like the "original" point and shoot camera - the first one meant for the mass market that was easy to use. But it is kind of heavy and big! I don't mind but it for sure doesn't fit in my pocket like my little canon powershot. And I can't be sneaky with it in museums or on the street. But the images are so lush so I am really digging it.
