Moving Right Along....

Hello friends. Life is getting a little hairy around here. How about you? Everything cool? I hope so.

I only have time for a few quick links I am afraid. But they are really good ones - I promise!

...A big-time Super Awesome blog! So inspiring! Nothing is New...
...Theselby took me on an hour or more detour the other day - Wow - I love seeing inside other peoples spaces...
...And I liked the website of this guy...
...I saw one of these Diner Journals a week or so ago - a very nice slick and personable little object - great design! Made by this fellow...
...I was really bowled over by these Mark Borthwick photos and collages for Vanessa Bruno S/S 08...
...Amazing beautiful and hyper-conceptual design by Studio Libertiny (they are the ones who made this!)...
...I really liked this Roses Tatouees project by Giasco Bertoli...
...WARNING: Ouch!...

I will check in again as soon as I can!

Superstudio

(...images from here, here, here, here, here and here...)

I have been really into the radical sixties/seventies architecture firm Superstudio lately after seeing a brief part from one of their movies at PS1 a few weeks back ( I think it was Ceremony (1973) - and I think this article references it)...I wish I could find the movie somewhere - I should see if I can dig it up somewhere or maybe I should just go back to the museum to see it.

Here and here are articles written about their 2003 retrospective at the Design Museum, London. I love how they made all those great collages (above), and those tables are great too - they must have looked really severe back then - a good ten years or so before their time.

Some Sparklies

I thought these were really beautiful, by the jewellery designer Tom Binns, found on The Moment blog...

I really love those ones with the big peices of sea glass. I think that all the jewels and diamonds were repurposed. A great idea and more ecological I bet.

I Went Virtual Window Shopping Yesterday...

...and these are all the things I would buy!

They are all from here. Their website design is pretty crazy/amazing too. Lots of bold underlined and a labyrinth
of pages - a real treasure hunt! Anyway. They also had a few books and other peices from the Modernist illustrators/artists Edward Bawden (here, here and here) and Eric Ravilious (here, here and here). I actually have a few snaps of one of their books on my flickr. Check it out here (click through the set to see the other pages).

That is all for now. Sorry for the slow posts lately. Life outside the internets has been very demanding lately...

Happy Tuesday!

PS. Did you see those original I-SPY books and the pin?
