A month or so ago we went to see this great new movie by the Finnish director Aki Kaurismäki. He is one of my favorite filmmakers by far. His movies are always very tragi-comic and beautifully staged - very colourful and crisp and cold. My other two favorites by him are The Match Factory Girl and The Man Without A Past. I think there are still some I haven't seen - I would love to watch them all...
